We had a busy day yesterday. I filled it with this and that, a trip to the market and making cookies, and we had our extended family over for a weekly dinner. It was a good day in lots of ways.
After everyone left our house, and Sweet Baby was asleep, Buddy, Sister, and I went out onto our front porch in the 7:00 darkness. We just sat and rocked a bit, the kiddies with milk and one last cookie.
A typical end-of-a-busy-day question from moi, "Sister, what was your favorite thing that we did today?"
Sis replies, "Uuuh, making cookies!"
Buddy continues, "What about you, Mommy? What was your favorite thing?"
Me: Definitely going on a bear hunt! That was fun! What was your favorite, Bud?
Buddy: Just right here, right now.
Can I get an amen?
