Sister's Switch

On the way down from the third floor, I say quiet gently, "Sissy, hold mommy's hand."

Her reply, in stern mommy-tone, "Mommy, do not talk to Sister that way!"

Shocked, I have no reponse and continue down the steps.

Three seconds and two steps later, in her sugary sweet, goody-two-shoes voice, "Momma, can you hold my hand please?"

Man, if I could just get ahold of her on/off switch!

The kids "took me out to lunch" today, to the Burger King drive thru (why is it spelled like that?)! Well, I got my Diet Coke and I was happy. Anyway, Buddy insisted on "paying with his own money", and although I said that I would pay, he kept at it. At bedtime, he went right to his piggy bank and proudly handed me two quarters. So sweet. . .
